They’re back!! Our children are back to school once again! (I use the term “children” as an all-encompassing one – children, youth, and teens) During this time, we all experience a period of transition. This week, I wanted to gift you with a free meditation for our children and youth.
Meditation is a beautiful tool for decreasing stress and anxiety while increasing self-esteem and self-awareness. It helps children focus, sleep better, rid their bodies of the physical pain associated with stress, and be creative. It accomplishes all of these things through enjoyment. Children love to meditate! The smile on their faces when they’re done is the most wonderful sight of all! They feel calm, happy, peaceful, and relaxed when the meditation is over.
I’ve attached an audio meditation. I find that it is best to play it at night when they are going to sleep. You could make it part of their bedtime routine. I have many other meditations in my book, “Empowering our Future.” The one I’ve included here is “The Moonbeam Meditation.” It’s intended to relax their bodies and quiet their minds so that they can transition into a peaceful night’s sleep. It’s also an excellent tool for helping them release their worries and fears or anything else that might have come up during the day.
